BSc (Hons), MBBS, MRCS, FRCS (Tr&Orth)
Dr. Yoon’s expertise was further honed through dual complex spinal fellowship training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London and The Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia, where he worked alongside leading spinal surgeons. His exemplary work on early-onset scoliosis earned him the distinguished Charles Manning Award in 2013. Recognised globally for his contributions to spinal surgery, Dr. Yoon has been a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at both Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, and University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust since 2015.
His surgical practice encompasses the full spectrum of spinal pathologies, from cervical (neck) to sacral (coccyx) conditions, with a particular focus on both paediatric and adult spinal deformity. Dr. Yoon’s dedication to advancing his field is evidenced by his active memberships in the British Association of Spinal Surgeons (BASS), the British Scoliosis Society (BSS), and his committee roles within the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) and the European Spine Society (EuroSpine).
In 2018, Dr. Yoon was featured on BBC’s Hospital series during the ‘winter pressures,’ where he showcased his expertise in performing complex scoliosis surgeries on children using an enhanced recovery pathway. Dr Yoon restored full mobility in my neck and removed all my nerve pain
My experience at NovoClinic was professional, knowledgeable and efficient from start to finish. Dr Yoon was able to explain the procedure and risks to me in a way that I could understand, and he was available via Zoom or in person before and after.
He did a great job, and restored full mobility in my neck and removed all my nerve pain. As a bonus, the Novoclinic staff helped me understand the sometimes complex if not cryptic billing messages from Doctors Hospital! Thankfully, insurance covered most of the procedure. I have used Novoclinic several times now, and will do so again without hesitation.
