Dr. Onur Berber is a Consultant Surgeon in Trauma and Orthopaedics, specializing in conditions affecting the hand, wrist, and elbow, as well as injuries of the upper limb. His NHS consultant practice is based at The Royal Free Hospital in London.

About Dr. Onur Berber
FRCS (Tr&Orth), MSc, BSc (Hons)
Following the completion of his orthopaedic training, Dr. Berber gained substantial experience in hand surgery through several specialist fellowships. He spent time at the prestigious Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hand Unit in London and was awarded the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) Fellowship at Oxford University Hospitals. He further honed his expertise at the internationally recognized Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby. As a recipient of a Traveling Fellowship from the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand, he also trained at the Institut de la Main in Paris, where he developed a keen interest in spasticity, nerve injuries, arthroscopic wrist surgery, and microsurgery.
Dr. Berber completed his medical education at University College London Medical School, graduating with distinctions in anatomy and physiology. He also holds a first-class honours degree in Medical Biochemistry. In 2015, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, further enhancing his qualifications with a master’s degree in Trauma and Orthopaedics, a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine, and the BSSH Diploma in Hand Surgery.
Actively involved in academic research, Dr. Berber has authored numerous publications and delivered presentations at both national and international conferences. His passion for education is reflected in his regular teaching engagements, both for medical students and surgeons. He serves as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at UCL Medical School and is a tutor for the BSSH Hand Diploma.
Dr. Berber is deeply committed to delivering the highest standards of care to his patients. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
