Doctor Ciro Adamo

With more than 34 years of surgical experience and over 15,000 procedures performed, Dr Ciro Adamo is an internationally recognised specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. Board-certified in Europe and fellowship-trained in microsurgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, he combines advanced surgical skill with an artistic understanding of balance and proportion to achieve natural, refined results.

Dr Adamo’s practice encompasses aesthetic breast surgery, body contouring, facial rejuvenation, and complex reconstructive procedures for breast and skin cancer, burns, and trauma. His philosophy is centred on precision, safety, and a deep respect for each patient’s individuality and goals.

In 2016, Dr Adamo began practising in the Cayman Islands, where he contributed to the development of modern plastic and reconstructive surgery services. He initially worked at TrinCay Medical Centre and later at the Sedano Medical Group, providing advanced surgical and aesthetic treatments to both local and international patients. His dedication to excellence and innovation helped establish a high standard of care in the region’s growing medical community.

A former Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Catanzaro in Italy, Dr Adamo has authored more than twenty scientific publications in leading international journals and contributed to significant advancements in microsurgery, ultrasound-assisted liposuction, and cosmetic vaginal surgery. His research has also explored novel approaches to tissue perfusion, facial fracture fixation, and the biomechanics of breast implants.

Dr Adamo has held senior clinical and academic appointments across Europe, the United Kingdom, the Cayman Islands, and the United States, where he is now the Founder and Medical Director of Xthetic LLC in Florida. His humanitarian work includes directing a burn unit for war victims in Angola under a European Union initiative that treated thousands of patients during the Angolan Civil War.

Dr Adamo is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Mount Sinai Alumni Association. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to surgical excellence, innovation, and compassionate patient-centred care.
